Wanted to say that I had to watch this video because my geography teacher made us do a project from 3 of the videos… I now like Rick Steves' Europe so much that the geography project isn't hard anymore. Why do they even call Poland part of Europe they wouldn't come help Holman when the Russians and the Germans Massacre them in World War II they had to get out by themselves then joined the French to help them fight because they didn't know how
Yes, Poland has changed in last 15 yrs. Come now, in 2020, and you will see very interesting country with many beautiful sites! Poland is so much more than Warsaw & Kraków but still those 2 cities are still worth a visit 🙂 I invite all history buffs to Poland for an amazing life lesson of history, accompanied with great cusine!
I like Poland very much , I traveled to Poland in 2017, I found polish people friendly and cool. One of cool place in Europe. Hugs and love from Pakistan to polish people.
Rick is pretty much right on talking about Poland … however , he should have made it clear that Nazis were Germans occupying Poland during WW2 … believe it or not, there are still ppl around the world who are confused about that. There are also forces working hard to revise history to clear themselves of the genocide they committed and create the impression that Poland was responsible for those most horrific crimes. Poland was a victim of German and Russian aggression.
